Planning the costumes of the characters in my title sequence

When creating each of these characters i took into consideration both the class and the monetary status of the couple shown in my opening sequence and associated this with the costumes they are going to be wearing. Which are listed below. As they are a white middle class couple on above average income. Living in a suburban area.

Female character;
Bright chequered shirt blue and pink- This creates a sense of normality and innocence
Dark blue jeans- Shows the character is a regular middle class women
Leopard print slippers- Shows she is relaxed, comfortable despite the crime they have together commited

Male character;
Green polo shirt- Normal clothing for this class and age
Yellow rubber gloves- Used to show, mischief and mess
Dark blue jeans- Shows normality
Green wellies- Show that the character is creating a mess but is prepared as if it was planned

Young male character;
White top
Wrapped in thick cling film- The cling film is used to show how they trapped the child
